6/6/2007 - Annual Spelling Bees For Ocean City and Seaview Elementary schools
Ocean City Primary School
For the fourth year in a row, Ivy League Mortgage will serve as sponsor for the annual Ocean City Primary School Spelling Bee. The goal of this event is to help students improve their spelling skills and expand their vocabularies.
This year’s competition will be held on Friday, June 8, 2007. There were approximately 70 students from the third grade participating. In addition to trophies, tee shirts and medals donated by Ivy League Mortgage, savings bonds will be awarded to the last thirteen remaining contestants in the competition.
Mrs Mabel Kloos will again act as “pronouncer” at this year’s event.
Also in attendance will be Ocean City Primary School principal, Dr. Joanne Walls, 2006 Ocean City Primary School Spelling Bee winner Kyle Howey, and Miss Ocean City 2007.

Seaview Elementary School
For the first time this year we will be sponsoring a spelling bee for Seaview Elementary School in Linwood, NJ. We hope to make this an annual event. Susan Spears, Seaview Elementary School principal, has advised that there will be 50 fourth-grade students participating in the bee, which will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
All contestants will receive tee shirts and medals for their participation. John Disidori, Ivy League Mortgage Loan Officer, and Dawn Brasslett, wife of Ivy League Mortgage President and CEO Steve Brasslett are coordinating the event in conjunction with Susan Spears.
Savings bonds will be awarded by Ivy League Mortgage to contestants earning first through thirteenth places.
